2024年10月24日受邀擔任教育部 – 臺灣科學節記者會《飛越科技之海》開幕演出
對應這次科學節的主題,我的動態影像設計分為五個段落:1.生命的起源Birth of Life、2.污染的挑戰Challenge of Pollution、3.科學的發展Development of Science、4.聲音的視覺化Visualization of Sound、5.希望的未來Future of Hope。藉由五段即時的影音操作與表演,表現出人類、技術與環境的不同層次的關係。技術上整合了Processing程式、GLSL程式、AI生成影片、Arduino晶片,目的為開發出能夠穩定運行、在現場LIVE表演的作品。
關於表演的控制器,我使用3D列印飛機造型內嵌Arduino晶片、三軸陀螺儀感測器與RGBLED。在表演時,我手持此發光飛機進行影像控制,飛機將偵測到的加速度與位移數據傳遞給Processing程式和GLSL程式,即時改變表演時的影像和特效,達到衍生性、可變性的表演視覺。聲音部分由跨領域聲響藝術家:杜彥豪設計與演出,彥豪在現場除了將聲音播放出來,也即時輸入我的電腦讓Processing程式可以精準地進行視覺化。

Invited to perform for Taiwan Science Festival Press Conference Opening at Ministry of Education (MoE): “Flying Through the Ocean of Technology”. I use a 3D-printed airplane embedded with an Arduino UNO, a 3-axis gyroscope sensor, and LEDs as a performance controller. During the performance, the airplane detects acceleration and displacement data, which are transmitted to Processing and GLSL programs to modify the visuals and effects in real time, creating a dynamic and generative visual experience. The sound is designed by interdisciplinary sound artist D.C. Tu (杜彥豪). In addition to playing the sound live, he also inputs it into my computer, allowing the Processing program to accurately visualize it. The visual design consists of five segments: 1.Birth of Life、2.Challenge of Pollution、3.Development of Science、4.Visualization of Sound、5.Future of Hope. Each segment represents different layers of the relationship between humanity, technology, and the environment.
